The Brecon Beacons National Park is one of the best locations for landscape photographers in the UK. Here the visiting photographer can see moorland, forests, valleys, waterfalls, lakes and reservoirs, caves and gorges.

This guide will show you where, when and how to capture the best of the great outdoors – mountain vistas, scenic hill walks, waterscapes, and the best dark sky locations for astrophotography. Also included are photogenic viewpoints in the surrounding towns and villages such as castles, monuments, and the remnants of South Wales’ industrial heritage.

Mathew Browne is Snapp Guides' CTO as well as an award-winning photographer from Carmarthenshire, Wales. He specialises in all aspects of travel photography especially cityscapes, landscapes and night photography. His interest in travel photography has taken him to over 50 countries and is frequently featured online and in print by media outlets, tourist boards, newspapers and magazines. Mathew runs photography workshops and tours to teach others how to do the same. His first book "Wales in Photographs" is published in October 2018. Closer to home, he enjoys honing his craft with the rich variety of scenery that Wales offers in the company of his wife Louise and son George who was born in 2017.
